Bovine Blood Media is recommended as a general purpose growth media for the cultivation, selective isolation, and differentiation of organisms responsible for mastitis in dairy populations. Contains esculin (full strength) to differentiate group D streptococci from Streptococcus agalactiae, as Streptococcus agalactiae is not capable of esculin hydrolysis.
