Description

Anhydrous calcium sulfate. For drying organic liquids, either in the liquid or vapor phase. For drying air and other gases. DRIERITE will absorb 6–8% of its weight in water, depending on relative humidity. Highly porous granular structure absorbs water both by hydration and capillary action. Non-disintegrating, non-wetting, non-poisonous, non-corrosive, non-indicating, and repeatedly regenerative. Neutral, stable, constant in volume, and inert except toward water. Insoluble in organic solvents. Temperature limitation is approximately 107°C, at which point the half-hydrate begins to lose water appreciably
