Description
BBL Streptocard Enzyme or Acid Latex Test Kits are slide agglutination tests for qualitatively identifying Lancefield streptococcal groups A, B, C, D, F and G from primary cultures. The Acid Kit identifies Groups A, B, C and F. The Enzyme Kit identifies Groups A, B, C, D, F and G. Demonstrates polysaccharide antigens situated in the streptococcal cell wall, after enzyme extraction, by agglutination of latex particles sensitized by group-specific rabbit immunoglobulins. A new extraction procedure allows immediate testing of the extracted specimen without incubation. Easy-to-read results within two minutes. Use the 30-minute procedure if agglutination does not occur or occurs with more than one latex reagent. The BBL Streptocard Kit contains antibody-coated latex, extraction reagent, positive control, disposable card and mixing sticks to perform 50 tests.
